Clayton grew up as the 5^th generation on a family farm in west-central Missouri.  Prior to beginning his professional career in January 2000, he earned a BS degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Missouri-Columbia. 

As President of Farmers National Company, Clayton leads a dedicated team of nearly 400 employee owners and associates for the nation’s largest landowner services company.   He co-directs the Long -Range Planning Committee and is a member of the Senior Executive Management Team.

Prior to joining FNC, Clayton was employed by Syngenta for over 21 years, where he held various sales, marketing and leadership roles in Seeds, Crop Protection, and GreenLeaf Genetics, LLC.  He brings a strong skill set in direct sales, marketing, brand management, business development, and organizational leadership.

Clayton is an active member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.  He is married with two children.  In his time away from work, Clayton enjoys spending time with family at the farm, traveling, and many other outdoor activities.
